Shunting and clean-up diesel locomotive with power transmission TEM7A with a capacity of 2000 hp is designed for work at large railway yards, for heavy clean-up and humping work in open-pit mining and coal mines with temporary portable tracks.
Diesel generator set includes 4-stroke 12-cylinder diesel motor with a V-shaped arrangement of cylinders, with gas turbine pressurization and cooling of charge air.
Diesel locomotive can be equipped with advanced diesel generator set DG-1400L (produced by Ural Diesel Motor Plant, Ekaterinburg) or diesel generator set 11-26DG (produced by Kolomensky Plant, Kolomna).

The locomotive’s cabin complies with the latest requirements of ergonomics: increased cabin volume, improved thermal insulation, ergonomic control panels and operator’s seats have been installed.

Running gears ensure good dynamic parameters and enable passing small radius curves.

Machine room body has double-leaf doors, hatches and removable roof elements, providing easy access to units during maintenance, repair and dismantling.

The locomotive is equipped with driver’s vigilance system.

In accordance with requirements of Russian Railways, the locomotive is equipped with microprocessor control system, electrodynamic brake, transport air conditioning.

Multiple unit system in operation is available.

The diesel locomotive can be controlled by one driver from either side of the cabin.
