High-performance ballast cleaning machine SHCHOM-1200 has a capacity of up to 1,200 m3/h. It performs layering of cleaned ballast together with its fractionation and compaction of cut surface before laying geotextiles or polystyrene foam plates and compaction of the first (lower) layer of cleaned ballast. The machine consists of three sections: traction and energy section (TES), excavation section and cleaning section. Traction and energy section TES is equipped with Cummins diesel generator set with power of 650 kW.
