6 September 2019 Sinara-Transport Machines Supported Russian Railway Transport Initiative for India

As part of the Eastern Economic Forum, Sinara-Transport Machines Holding (STM, part of Sinara Group), together with seven Russian companies, signed a multilateral cooperation agreement under the Russian Railway Transport Initiative for India.

The document was signed by First Deputy General Director of Russian Railways Alexander Misharin, General Director of Sinara-Transport Machines Holding Viktor Lesh, Managing Director for Work with Clients of Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance Maksim Kobin, Vice President of Sberbank of Russia Kirill Tsarev, Director General of Russian Railways International Sergey Pavlov, Director General of ELTEZA Vladimir Klyuzko and Director General of the Research and Design Institute of Informatization, Automation and Communication in Railway Transport Igor Rosenberg.

According to the agreements reached, the parties are willing to develop mutually beneficial cooperation on joint implementation of integrated infrastructure projects in the Republic of India. Activities of the Agreement parties will affect not only design, construction and modernization of existing facilities of the Indian railway infrastructure, but also supply and localization of manufacturing of railway machinery, equipment and components.

“Enhancing export supplies is one of the priorities of Sinara-Transport Machines.” Participation in Make in India industrial projects will contribute to development of the Holding’s export potential and emergence of new production sites localized in India. This market is very familiar to us, it has serious prospects, and we have those technological solutions that will help solve the problems of our Indian partners and customers,” Director General of STM Viktor Lesh said.
